While sailing, we may encounter constantly changing weather conditions. With this in mind, we should bring a waterproof cylindrical bag and fill it with sailing clothing.

Examples of such clothing include a bad weather jacket, spare sets of the clothing we are wearing, and wide-brimmed hats. This way, we can stay dry and warm in case of water or rain splashing onto us from the deck or if we end up spending more time at sea than expected.
