Winter Frosts

After the hot summer months we experienced, we also had a relatively warm autumn this year. We are now bidding farewell to this long summer, especially with the “zemheri cold” that will affect us starting next week.
Etymologically, the word “zemheri” is a combination of the Arabic word “zem,” meaning winter, and the Persian word “hariri,” meaning “roar,” and thus means “winter roar.” Known as the Erbain cold spells, these cold spells will last for 40 days, from December 22 to January 30.
Another characteristic of the Zemheri cold spell is that it is known as the period when people fall ill most frequently due to fluctuations in temperature. One day the temperature may be 16-17 degrees, and the next day it may drop to 5-6 degrees. This unstable weather also contributes to illnesses. We recommend that you take care of yourself during these cold days.
