Internationally Certified Captain Training Courses
IYT International Flotilla Skipper (International Cruising Class, Fleet Accompanied Skipper Training)
Learn how to captain a ship
and participate in voyages accompanied by the Fleet
This is a beginner-level training course, so no prior experience is required. At the end of this training, you will not only have acquired basic knowledge of sailing, but you will also be able to join a fleet and serve as captain after obtaining your International Flotilla Skipper Sail license. With the boat you rent, you can set a course together with a leader boat in the flotilla, and you can use your boat within the coverage area of VHF channels and within sight, provided that you are no more than 20 nautical miles from the shore, but you cannot sail at night. After completing your route during the day, all boats in the flotilla must be moored or anchored in the marina or cove before dark. In this fleet sailing, each captain enjoys the freedom of being on their own boat while also sharing their experiences around a table in the evenings and building a social circle. If you complete the IYT Bareboat Skipper Training, you will also gain the ability to use the boat you have rented or own without joining a fleet.
This is a beginner-level training course: No prior training or practical experience is required. The minimum age for training is 12, and the minimum age for obtaining a certificate is 18.
Practical and theoretical training is provided.
Practical training consists of 30 hours / 6 days / 5 hours per day of training at sea.
