To maximize the enjoyment of a boat vacation, it is critical to plan a good route. Based on our years of experience in these bays, we have determined a sample route for you. Set sail!
DAY 1: You can board the boat at Turgutreis Marina (37°00’18″N – 027°15’12″E) in the afternoon. The travel itinerary is finalized, and a briefing on the boat’s technical details is provided. Once port formalities and shopping are completed, you can depart from the marina. Your first stop for swimming and overnight stay could be Karaada and Poyraz Bay (36°59’12″N – 027°27’28″E).
DAY 2: Palamutbükü, İnceburun (36°40’12″N – 027°30’18″E)
You will set sail for Palamutbükü early in the morning. After lunch and a swimming break, you can anchor at İnceburun. You can have dinner and spend the night there.
DAY 3: Aktur, Bencik (36°45’54″N – 028°02′ 18″E)
After breakfast, the first stop can be Bencik Bay. As you enter this bay, which has a very narrow entrance, you will be greeted by a unique view. Bencik is a bay located on the Hisarönü side of the narrowest part of the peninsula that separates Hisarönü Bay from Gökova Bay. Dinner and overnight stay are in Bencik Bay.
DAY 4: Ayın Bükü, Orhaniye, Selimiye (36°52’00″N – 028°01’54″E)
After breakfast, it will be pleasant to anchor at İnbükü. After a swimming break, head to Orhaniye (36°45’18″N – 028°07’48″E) for lunch, and then visit Orhaniye Bay, where the natural structure known as “Kız Kumu” (Maiden’s Sand), formed by the rising and falling of the sea water, offers an extraordinary view. Various legends are told about the reddish sand path that allows you to walk on the water from the shore into the sea. On Bizans Island in the bay, there are ancient ruins with visible castle walls. In Orhaniye, Martı Marina or Selimiye (36°42’30″N – 028°05’30″E) are settlement points where you can meet all your needs in this area. You can set a course for Selimiye for dinner and overnight stay and drop anchor there.

In the past, sponges were harvested along the coast of this region, but today the local people have abandoned sponge harvesting because it no longer provides a good income and is dangerous with the old techniques. Ada Boğazı and Kilise Ada are very pleasant areas for anchoring. Alternatively, you can sail toward the center of Bozburun or the Söğüt side and dock at the piers or wharf.
DAY 6: Datça, Knidos (36°43’12″N – 027°41’24″E)

Eudoxus, the great astronomer and mathematician of history, Doctor Euryphon, the famous painter Polygnotos, and Sostrates, the architect of the Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, lived here. Doctor Euryphon and his students established the second-largest medical school of their time in Knidos. The sundial developed by Eudoxus, a great invention of the time, can still be seen at the archaeological site today.
