Boat Kitchen: Polenta

We are adding another boat meal that you can easily prepare during your boat vacation. Polenta, one of the Italian delicacies!
POLENTA
4 cups of water
1 cup of cornmeal
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
75 grams of butter
100 grams grated aged cheddar, Parmesan, or Gruyère cheese
How to make it?
Bring the water, turmeric, and salt to a boil in a saucepan.
Once boiling, add the grits and stir until it comes to a boil again.
Once boiling, reduce the heat and cook for about 25 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add the cheese and butter, stirring occasionally, and cook for another 5 minutes.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and pour the polenta onto the sheet.
Let it set for about 15 minutes, then slice it. Serve warm.
