IYT Bareboat Skipper Training International / (Cruising Class Boat Skipper Training)
Be the captain of your own boat!
Manage a boat on your own responsibility, without another captain or fleet escort.
If you wish to take the Flotilla and Bareboat training courses consecutively, your training will start at level 1 and you will be eligible to obtain a Bareboat license. This training lasts 10 days (50 hours) in practice, with a price advantage.
The age limit for training is 12, and the age limit for obtaining a license is 18.
Practical and theoretical training is provided.
Practical training consists of 50 hours / 10 days / 5 hours per day of training at sea.
Theoretical training is provided through training booklets and 5 hours of video lessons.

Our practical training sessions on board the boat are planned for a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 people (excluding the instructor).
The International Yacht Training (IYT) certificate is accredited by 58 countries around the world and is valid for sailing in those countries. In the European Union, it can be used in Croatia and Greece.
You can use boats up to 78f/24 meters.

To listen to the online training courses that are registered, log in to our website at https://oneyacht.org/en/my-account/ register, and notify the One Yacht training administrator of this information. This will enable the relevant files to be made available for use. Once they are available, log in to the website, click on the My Profile section in the My Account tab, and you will be able to access the training courses available to you in the Assigned Training section on this page.
The IYT Bareboat Skipper Sail license will be issued with the approval of the instructor.
It is mandatory to have spent at least 10 days at sea and sailed 200 nautical miles. Night sailing is not recommended.
A 40-question exam, which is part of the training, is held every Wednesday at 4:00 PM at the Istanbul, Izmir, and Fethiye One Yacht offices starting the week after the final practical training session. The IYT License fee is paid on the day of the exam.
Important Information: The Amateur Sailor’s Certificate must be obtained separately to sail in Turkish waters if you own your own boat. This certificate is issued by the Ministry of Transport. https://adbs.uab.gov.tr/login
This document is valid for 5 years. At the end of 5 years, you can renew your license by simply paying the fee at iytworld.com without taking any exam.
To apply for the certificate, you must register on the IYT website and obtain a 6-digit ID via email. This ID is then sent to the One Yacht training officer. You can complete the registration process at the bottom of the page containing the link. https://www.iytworld.com/students/
You can make your payments in cash, by bank transfer/EFT, or by credit card. Fifty percent of the payment is due on the day of registration, and the remaining fifty percent is due on the first day of training.
Those who successfully complete the training and obtain a license will be eligible to take an English-language exam to obtain an International Certificate of Competency (ICC). Participants in the training are required to wear white-soled sports shoes or sailing shoes, clothing suitable for sun, rain, and wind, and sailing gloves.
